Torch Wireless provides wireless phone service to eligible applicants, as part of the Federal Communication's Commission's (FCC) Lifeline program. A program designed to help make communications services more affordable for low-income consumers.
The program provides a discount on phone service for qualifying low-income consumers to ensure that all Americans have the opportunities and security that phone service brings, including being able to connect to jobs, family, and emergency services. The Program is intended to help individuals experiencing financial hardships to stay connected, and it is available to eligible low-income consumers where they reside.
Lifeline is available only to consumers who can document their eligibility.
Only one Lifeline benefit is permitted per household.
Subscribers have an obligation to recertify their eligibility every year to remain enrolled.
Lifeline-supported service provided at no charge must be used at least once, every 30 days.
Subscribers must notify Torch Wireless if they change addresses or eligibility.
Torch Wireless Lifeline service is currently available in Wisconsin.
